Last Thursday, Katy Perry tweeted out a #throwback to celebrate the 10-year anniversary if her iconic hit, “I Kissed a Girl”.
She tweeted a short video compilation of her singing the song at various different concerts from 2008 onwards.
“This weekend marked the 10th anniversary of the release of I Kissed A Girl! Thank you for believing in me then, and growing with me since #doublethrowback,” she wrote.
Fans quickly took to the internet to call Katy her old nickname of “Latey Perry”, as the song actually dropped on April 28, a few days before Katy tweeted it.
The nickname is referring to the fact that Katy is always late to the party, even when it’s got to do with her own career.
Most recently, TMZ revealed that Katy is constantly late to the set of American Idol.
However fans have joked that they will always know Katy Perry news before Katy tweets about it.
