It’s been a week since two of Ed Westwick‘s alleged victims spoke out about being assaulted by the British star and now, his model girlfriend Jessica Serfaty has released a statement.
Speaking to media outlet Radar Online, the 27-year-old hints that Westwick will take “legal action” against his alleged victims as she claims that “he didn’t do it.”
“I can’t imagine him not taking legal action [against his accusers],” she said. “People should pay the price for their actions.”
Serfaty also admitted that she and her Gossip Girl star boyfriend were “looking for wedding rings” but have held off on engagement plans due to the controversy.
“We were discussing it, but I can’t imagine getting married now with everything happening,” she said.
“Until everything is settled, we are not getting married.”
And it’s not just engagement plans that have been cancelled in the midst of the shocking claims.
As reported yesterday, production of Ed’s future projects have now been canned as well.
The BBC announced that it will not be airing Ed’s upcoming BBC special Ordeal by Innocence as the LAPD investigates one of the incidents.
Filming of the Westwick’s other series White Gold has also been halted.
The BBC said in a statement [via our sister site, Variety]: “These are serious allegations which Ed Westwick has strenuously denied. The BBC is not making any judgment, but until these matters are resolved we will not include ‘Ordeal by Innocence’ in the schedules. The independent production company making ‘White Gold’ has informed us that Ed Westwick has paused from filming while he deals with these allegations.”
Westwick also has a recurring role in the drama series Snatch, alongside Harry Potter star Rupert Grint. While the series has been picked up for a second season, it is unknown if Ed will appear in future episodes.
