While Cole Sprouse has taken over the small screen in Riverdale, his twin brother Dylan had taken a step back from the spotlight.
But after years of downtime, the Suite Life of Zack and Cody star is returning to screens in the indie flick Carte Blanche as well as upcoming series, This Is Not For You.
In a series of Instagram posts, the director of TINFY spoke out about working with Dylan, including her initial hesitation about working with the star.
“#ThisIsNotForYou part II, written, shot and directed by me, featuring @dylansprouse,” she wrote.
“This is my first series shooting and writing with a male as the lead. At first I hesitated because I’ve only ever been open to giving women a voice… but then Dyl and I sat down for a drink at a dive bar on a gray, rainy day in New York, feeling vulnerable and open; and the rest followed. Enjoy lovers,” she concludes.
Meanwhile, the ~indie~ director’s fans have been stoked with her choice in Dylan because why wouldn’t they be!?
“Incredible work. I love the story not only in the scenes but the one you shared that played out behind the camera as well. Truly captivating,” one Instagrammer wrote.
“Love love loveee crazy seeing a man star in your work I dig it,” wrote another.
The deets of this upcoming project are fairly limited ATM but we’re keen AF to see what’s to come!
