While we’re thanking our lucky stars that Demi Lovato survived the drug overdose in July, there are complications from it that will continue to effect her. One in particular being her voice, which we all know and love so much.
While Demi is being treated in rehab, a new report has emerged that describes how Demi has suffered “substantial” damage to her voice as a result of the OD. It will take a significant amount of time for Demi to get her voice back to what it was.
A source tells OK! Magazine, “After Demi suffered her overdose, there was a substantial amount of damage done to her voice.”
“Damage has been done to her voice and her vocal strength,” the insider continues. “She will recover and be back to the singer we know and love, but at she will need some care to assist with her voice. Obviously when a person’s body goes through the kind of trauma that Demi’s did, it’s a real shock to the body.”
The news comes shortly after Demi was spotted for the first time in public since her overdose. Somebody captured a photo of Demi during her day pass in rehab, smiling on the street as she makes conversation with a lady walking her dog.
Fans are happy to see that Demi is looking great and healthy once again.
