Demi Lovato Has Totally Called Out TIME’s Person Of The Year

She's actually right.

Yesterday, TIME magazine published their ‘Person Of The Year’ issue, where they named every woman who has been involved with the #MeToo movement this year.

Taylor Swift was also named, which caused some confusion as she wasn’t part of the movement, however has been part of a huge sexual assault trial this year with radio host DJ David Mueller. She also spoke for the very first time about the case in the interview, which revealed a heartbreaking confession.

Now, Demi Lovato has shared her thoughts on TIME’s decision, and we totally agree with her.

Time mag highlights brave women coming forward against sexual assault on the cover but names a man with sexual assault allegations against him runner up to person of the year.. Really @TIME” she wrote.

Yep, Donald Trump was named runner up, which is pretty shocking considering what they decided to do with the winner.

She continued, “I’ve become less vocal about my distain for certain people over the past year because it only divides our country even more but this is worth speaking up about. @TIME mag – very disappointed in your hypocrisy and disrespect toward the women on your cover.”

Demi finished by saying, “To be named POTY by @TIME it should be for doing something positive or brave LIKE the women on the cover. It’s annoying that it’s just about impact on the news.”

YAS Demi, you tell ’em.
