Congratulations are in order!!! In a new Instagram post, Riverdale star Vanessa Morgan has revealed she’s having a baby boy.
As first reported by People, Vanessa Morgan and her husband Chicago White Sox baseball player Michael Kopech announced the news over the weekend. And, while she admitted she plans to keep this side of her life private, “[I] did want to be the first to share the news.”
“I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January,” Vanessa confessed in an Instagram gallery featuring photos from her recent gender reveal party, an ultrasound of her baby boy and a photo taken the day she found out she was pregnant (20th March, 2020). “It’s almost like everything I thought mattered in this life has completely changed… We’re here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious.”
“We’re here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious. I can’t believe how much growth & strength you’ve already given me as your m[u]m. It’s like God knew I needed you, my angel.”
“The universe works in mysterious ways but always times everything the way it was meant to be. Lil one you were made with so much love & already exude a light so strong it warms my belly.”
Ending the post, she reinforced how she is “just so happy & can’t wait to dedicate every day to being the best m[u]mmy I can be. ‘I’ll love you forever I’ll like you for always as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be.”
And, of course, her Riverdale co-stars had nothing but love to share about the news.
“Omg Vanessa,” wrote Camila Mendes. “So excited for you, congrats boo.”
“SO happy for you both,” added Mädchen Amick. “This will be the most important journey of your life. Enjoy every second of it sweet princess!!”
Lili Reinhart also commented with a trio of rose flower emojis and Bella Thorne replied with a simple “congrats!”
Morgan’s and Kopech’s baby announcement comes six months after the pair got married in January. The reception and ceremony were held in Homestead, Florida, and Kopech proposed to the Riverdale star during a getaway to Arizona’s Mooney Falls over the Fourth of July long weekend.
Congrats Vanessa!
