Last week, controversial YouTuber Jake Paul was criticised by his local mayor for hosting a party at his mansion home at his mansion home with not a single person seen wearing a face mask. James Charles, Charli and Dixie D’Amelio and Nikita Dragun reportedly attended and Twitter quickly called them out for not taking the pandemic seriously.

And, overnight, 31-year-old internet personality and fellow Californian resident Tyler Oakley took to Twitter to put them all on blast.

“If your favourite influencers are at huge house parties during a pandemic (and are dumb enough to post it on social media)… they are bad influences. Unfollow them.”

Then, he literally called them out, one by one.

“Hi @JamesCharles, @NikitaDragun, @TanaMongeau, @Larrayxo, @Charlidamelio, @DixieDamelio and any others who have been partying in large groups,” Oakley wrote. “Please consider social distancing, mask wearing and using your huge platforms to encourage responsibility during a worldwide pandemic.”

As of writing, only Larray has responded to Oakley’s comments and addressed how irresponsible it was to attend Paul’s party.

“I understand 100 [percent] where you’re coming from and it was a dumb thing to do,” he admitted. “I will do better and will actually take this s**t seriously. Appreciate you Tyler, much love.”

According to the John Hopkins University of Medicine, more than 15 million people have been infected with COVID-19, nearly four million of which comes from the U.S. Within that, Los Angeles county, where Oakley, Charles, D’Amelio and others reside, has around 160,000 confirmed cases.

To slow the spread of infection, we all need to do our part and wear face masks, wash our hands thoroughly and frequently and practice appropriate social distancing. Sadly, that means no big house parties for a while.
