As dedications of love go, tattoos are probably the most permanent. Yes, there is always the laser option—sometimes painful and expensive—but really, if you’re getting something inked on you, it’s more than likely for life. That daunting fact didn’t stop Hilary Duff’s husband, Matthew Koma, from getting a whole-ass tattoo of her name on his, well, ass. In a slightly NSFW Instagram post, the singer-songwriter husband of the former Lizzie McGuire star shared a fresh new piece of ink of Duff’s name in cursive on his left butt cheek.
While Koma censored things a little with some carefully placed peach emojis, he went all in with the caption. “Good luck winning a fight with your wife when her name’s tattooed on your butt cheek. #squats #gainz #laseraway,” he joked about the butt selfie (or ‘belfie’, to be specific). He also, of course, tagged Miss Hilary herself on said butt.
For her part, Duff was pretty chuffed. She commented her approval on the pic, writing, “Finest tiniest booty around #youstucknowboy.” Is this kinda random? Yes, it is but we’re coming around to it as it’s also very sweet and dorky.
The comments section was filled with approval from friends of the celeb couple. Actress Mandy Moore commented, “Dying 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼,” while comedian Whitney Cummings joked, “Wait I just got this too.”
The winning comment however MUST go to one commenter called Sean Blendy: “I’m gay enough to know that it’s actually her signature😂.” INCREDIBLE.
Koma and Duff have been married since late last year and the couple share a daughter called Banks Violet Bair. They also parent a son called Luca, Duff’s child from her previous husband, Mike Comrie. If you’re feeling some 2000s nostalgia, we’re gonna go ahead and say chuck ’em both a follow because their lives are v sweet and wholesome.
