As well as the seemingly endless stream of celebrity babies this year has brought us, we’re noticing another little trend: Taylor Swift’s incredible baby gifts! Yep, if you’ve been paying attention you’ll know the folklore singer is leaning into her cottage-core vibes and has been making some special custom gifts for her new mum friends. The most recent lucky recipient is Gigi Hadid.
While only officially announcing the birth of their baby daughter last week, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s little angel is already being treated to some super sweet presents. The model took to her Instagram stories recently to share some of the touching gifts she’s been sent. There were beautiful bouquets of flowers from Eva Chen and Tommy Hilfiger, as well as a tiny baby-sized sweatshirt from fashion legend Donatella Versace.
Hadid’s longtime friend Swift kicked it up a notch though. In an Instagram story that also gave fans another peek at her daughter’s hand, the model showed off a pink baby blanket, in what looks like a lush satin material. “Auntie @taylorswift made this!!!” she wrote, tagging her famous friend in the Instagram story.
Swift also gave new parents Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom a sweet gift for their daughter, Daisy. The gift, which looks similar to Hadid’s, was a hand-embroidered pink silk blanket with the words “Baby Bloom” stitched into it.
“Katy and Orlando, when I was a baby, my most [valued] possession was a tiny silk [blanket],” the singer wrote in a card.
While they were formerly enmeshed in a pretty high profile feud, it seems like there’s no more bad blood between Swift and Perry. “Miss 🌼🕊 adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift 😩😩😩,” Perry wrote. “Hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager 🥺♥️”
Seriously, Swift has upped the baby gifting game! We’re intrigued to see what she might send out next.
Hadid also received a few other notable gifts from her famous friends—her daughter is going to have the chicest baby room out!
As well as Swift’s handmade baby blanket, the model has thanked another “Auntie,” the artist Austyn Weiner. These handmade gifts include a sweet macrame mobile, complete with earth-toned rainbows that match the artist’s painting.
“This is the first thing my niece sees every day when she wakes up,” the artist wrote when sharing Hadid’s Instagram story thanking her. “Made during quarantine, I knew it was hers.”
And of course, there’s been a tonne of flowers sent to the Hadid-Malik household. The latest of which is a stunning floral arrangement from none other than the Emmy-winner herself, Zendaya.
The tall pink roses match Swift’s baby blanket pretty perfectly! We wonder if they co-ordinated?
