How Christian Wilkins Just Made Beauty History

“It’s my duty to declare 2021 the year of bigger, better, bolder hair.”

An extra special good morning to Aussie fashionista, reality TV star and podcast host Christian Wilkins today, who is officially making history as the first male ambassador of Pantene—you know we love to see it 😍.

The 25-year-old Sydney-based model and actor, who also happens to be the son of The Today Show presenter Richard Wilkins, revealed the news on Sunday afternoon with a stunning photoshoot. In it, he posed with a gorgeous cheeky grin, showing off his shiny golden locks, sparkles, and what we can only suspect is a fan machine behind the camera.

“As [Pantene Australia]’s newest ambassador (!!), it’s my duty and honour to declare 2021 the year of bigger, better [and] bolder hair,” he said on the first day of his ambassadorship in the Instagram post announcing the news. “[I’m] beyond excited to be joining this iconic brand as their very first Aussie male face (and hair).”

“Shooting this was genuinely one of the best days of my life, truly a dream come true. Shout out to Pantene and my parents for keeping me in good hair.”

In response to the news, his father Richard said he was “very proud of my boy. [Christian,] the new face and hair of Pantene Australia! The first male ambassador ever in Australia… it didn’t happen overnight but it did happen!” Aww, bless this loving fam.

It isn’t all that surprising that Christian is the new face of one of Australia’s biggest haircare brands, since he’s kinda been a prominent figure within the fashion and beauty industry in recent years.

Last year, Wilkins surprised fans with a new platinum blonde hair-do while on set of his new Stan TV show, Eden, in Byron Bay. Fun fact: the new show also stars Love, Simon star Keiynan Lonsdale and American Horror Story’s Cody Fern.

Talent clearly runs in the Wilkins family with Christian coming second in last year’s Dancing With The Stars series. The budding presenter also starred in the 2017 series of SBS’ Filthy Rich And Homeless.
