The trailer for Jacob Elordi’s ‘2 Hearts’ film is here and get ready to cry

Ready to fall in love with Jacob Elordi all over again?

Ready to watch the trailer for Jacob Elordi’s new film 2 Hearts and ugly-cry? Yep, the Aussie Euphoria star is back with another romance film, but this one looks a whole lot more dramatic and emotional than his previous rom-com efforts in The Kissing Booth franchise from NetflixThe film is actually based on a true story and follows two different couples whose hidden connection is slowly revealed throughout the film.

Elordi plays Chris Gregory, a college freshman whose love for a spirited classmate played by Tiera Skovbye (who you’ll recognise from Riverdale and Once Upon a Time) helps him find the purpose he has been searching for. He is, of course, a jock again, but this time he’s got a heart of gold, unlike his womaniser character Noah in TKB, who we all know he doesn’t like at all.

Per the film’s site: “2 Hearts is a romantic journey that celebrates life, love and generosity of spirit, and challenges audiences to believe miracles are possible.”

From the trailer, which you can watch below, we’re seeing a lot of shirtless Elordi and sweet college romance moments. Speaking with the Boston Herald, Elordi shared what the experience of filming was like—which was actually very different from filming the hugely popular Netflix series.

“This was the first movie I made after The Kissing Booth actually. A small, sort of independent movie that’s taken a very long time to come out,” he shared.

“I’m so lucky because it’s a beautiful true story and the filmmakers are wonderful, kind people. So the experience was really thrilling.”

“Looking back,” he added, “the thing to me is more about the experience I had making it and meeting Chris Gregory’s family.” (Elordi plays Gregory in 2 Hearts.) “That was where the story meant something to me and was special to me. And the experiences I shared with those people. “Which I guess is kind of what the movie is about at the end of the day: How people can be connected from different places in the world where they least expect it.”

Where to watch 2 Hearts in Australia

Unfortunately for Elordi fans hungry for a Euphoria season two and the third Kissing Booth film, we don’t have a 2 Hearts Australian release date just yet. It premieres in theatres in the U.S. on October 16th, but it looks like it might head straight to DVD and Blu-ray here. We’ll keep you posted!
