It’s official: love conquers all. We are proud to report that this morning the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed that a majority of 61.6% of Australians voted YES for marriage equality. Over 7.8 million Australians, out of 12.7 million, voted to legalise same-sex marriage in Australia.
Earlier this year, SBS reported that the Prime Minister vowed to allow same-sex Australian couples to marry if the YES vote passed. And guess what? It bloody well did!
Australians everywhere are currently in ~major~ celebration mode, including local and international celebrities who have taken to social media to spread the love.
Go ahead, soak up all the proud and loving vibes…
