Even if you’re not into her music, you most likely love Billie Eilish for her IDGAF attitude. But her most recent move has rubbed some people up the wrong way.

While accepting her award for Billboard Woman of the Year – which is a huge honour for the 17-year-old, Eilish dragged every other artist by saying their speeches are too long.
“Yall’s speeches were long as f*************ck!” she immediately said when taking the mic. “Oh my god! F*ck! Long as hell!” she continued.
Her speech came after Taylor Swift nabbed the Woman of the Decade award, where she spoke for 15 minutes calling out “toxic male privilege” in the music industry.
While it’s a classic Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O’Connell (her real name) move, a lot of people weren’t here for the #disrespect.
“No respect for art, no respect for the music industry, just here for ugly sweatshirts and merch that’ll barely sell in bershka stores… that’s y’all’s favs?” one user tweeted.
People were really sounding off on Twitter with similar comments.
“Taylor Swift gave a speech about the rights all musicians have in the industry and that it’s filled with corporate greed that takes advantage of artists. Nicki Minaj gave a tribute to her friend Juice Wrld, speaking on the importance of mental health and Billie responded with this.”
“That’s kind of sad. I get she is young and trying to make a ‘joke’ but she obviously ignored the meaning behind those speeches and that’s sad to see cuz many look up to her.”
Many fans defended Billie, reminding the haters that she has made a huge difference in the music industry at only 17-years-old and that they basically need to take a joke.
“It’s called comedy… like being funny ever heard of it.”
2019 saw Billie create one of the biggest-selling albums of the year, attain a number 1 single, win multiple Grammy nominations (in the big four categories making her the youngest artist to receive the honour) and launch a world tour that’s nearly sold out already…
