Ariana Grande is very, very mad at the Grammy Awards, and to be honest, we can’t blame her.
After winning her first ever Grammy award Ariana couldn’t even be there in person to accept it, as she had ‘performance conflicts’ with the organisation… which basically forced her to not attend the night at all.
It didn’t stop her from dressing like a queen in her own home to commemorate the occasion though…
However, toward the end of the show when ‘Best Album’ was announced, Ariana went OFF on Twitter after it was revealed that Cardi B won the award over her deceased ex, Mac Miller.
The award was the only one Mac was nominated for, and it meant a lot to Ariana and Mac’s family. So when he lost it, she lost her cool.
“Trash,” she first tweeted out. “F*ck. Bullsh*t. Literal bullsh*t.”
She has since deleted the tweets, including ones where she replied back to fans about the situation, revealing that the Grammy producers invited Mac’s parents to attend the big event.
After her rant, Cardi fans started coming for her, but she insisted that her anger had nothing to do with Cardi personally.
“Nothing to do w her. good for her. i promise. i’m sorry,” she wrote. “she’s not at all and that’s not what i mean and u know that.”
In fact, Cardi spoke out and posted about a headline that stated if Mac didn’t win the award, his family wanted it to go to Cardi. In her caption, she dedicated the award to both of them.
“WE WON A F*CKIN GRAMMY 🏆🏆🏆,” she wrote. Ariana commented a string of black heart emojis on the post.
Mac was later honoured during the in memoriam section of the awards show.
Mac’s mother Karen attended the awards night with Cazzie David, Pete Davidson’s ex-girlfriend, who E! News reports are friends after he passed.
“It’s still a relatively new friendship, and primarily limited to social media, but Cazzie and Karen think very highly of each other,” a source told E! News. “Cazzie reached out to Karen with her condolences after Mac died and since then she and Karen have been exchanging messages.”
Interesting, to say the least.
