Is she being a hypocrite?

Ariana Grande has finally made it. Forget her record-breaking songs, she’s collaborated with Starbucks.

Unfortunately, the drink has landed Grande in some hot water…

The foam in the drink contains egg whites, and the caramel drizzle is made with condensed milk, which is a problem since Ariana Grande has been a vegan since 2013.

Fans were quick to address the issue on Twitter, questioning her vegan status, and asking her if she DRANK it too.

“Wait isn’t Ariana Grande vegan? Yall she can’t even drink the cloud machiattos [sic], they have egg in them,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Isn’t ariana grande vegan? Why is she promoting a drink with dairy?” Another wrote. “Why is she promoting a drink with dairy? “Try the soy version”… hunny the caramel drizzle & cloud powder both have dairy in them… but go off sis make everyone pay the extra 60 cents for soy milk and boost Starbuck’s sales”.

An actual Starbucks barista commented too, confirming that the Cloud Macchiato is very difficult to make vegan. “As a barista AT Starbucks, I think it’s really weird that Ariana Grande is the ambassador for the new drink. You literally cannot make it vegan, the key ingredient in cloud powder is egg whites to make it more like meringue.”

Yikes.
