The Witcher will be based on the Witcher novels by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski but for all those video game lovers don't worry, the series will also feature nods to the famous game as well.
So what's it about?
The new show will star Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia, who's part of a breed of monster hunters called 'Witcher's', hence the name.
Geralt will spend season one fighting demonic entities who have arrived in his world (known as The Continent) from other dimensions.
Who is in the cast?
After Netflix announced they would be renewing The Witcher for season 2, showrunner Lauren Schmidt Hissrich released an excited statement: "I’m so thrilled that before fans have even seen our first season, we are able to confirm that we’ll be returning to The Continent again to continue telling the stories of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri."
Season two of The Witcher won't start filming until early next year, but season one will premiere on Netflix December 20 so clear your schedule that day because you'll have some serious tv-binging to do.
