The exact time of day your partner is most likely to cheat

The exact time of day your partner is most likely to cheat

Lock up your lovers, ppl. According to new research, there’s a ‘peak time’ for committing adultery: 6.45pm on a Friday night.

Dating site IllicitEncounters (which, FYI, helps married people organise to do the dirty), surveyed 1,000 people about their cheating habits. They found that ‘a social night with co-workers’ was the most commonly used excuse for pulling the wool over their partner’s eyes, while 74 per cent of people had tried ‘going to the gym’ at some point or another.

“What this new research shows is that cheats are creatures of habit,” IllicitEncounters.com spokesman Christian Grant said. “They have strict routines which they tend to stick to when they are seeing their lover.”

“If your partner regularly goes out with work colleagues on a Friday night, this should raise suspicions, particularly if they always go out with you the following night. The Saturday night date is partly due to guilt over the Friday night liaison.”

The results found that on average, affair-havers were seeing their sidepiece twice a week, with Tuesday night the second most preferred time for getting busy. In addition, 64 per cent of those surveyed said they stuck to a regular routine in an effort to throw their S.O off the scent.

“Having a regular routine means that cheats can stick to the same script when being asked about their whereabouts – making it less likely their affair is rumbled.”

Cheers for the heads up.
