We thought Helena Sauzier was in with a shot however, it appears she pulls a Brooke Blurton on us and walk out of The Bachelor! Despite professing her love for Matt after their disastrous single date last week, an on-set spy claims Helena tried to quit the show during hometown visits after realising the astrophysicist "wasn't going to pick her in the end".
“She felt, judging by the way Matt was treating her, he wasn’t going to pick her in the end – he kept getting simple things about her wrong and she ended up having a meltdown at home visits,” a source told New Idea.
“She told producers she was staying in Perth because she didn’t see any point in coming back to Sydney to finish filming and she gave Matt a letter explaining her decision. But in the end producers and Matt begged her to stay.”
While this news may come as a shock to some, in new exclusive snaps obtained by who.com.au from the Bachelorette's hometown visits, Helena and Matt aren't happy about being in each other's company. In the tense photos, the couple is seen having an argument before a distraught Helena sobs in Matt's arms.
Although Matt has long been vocal about his feelings for Chelsie McLeod, the fan favourite— who's slated to win this season of The Bachelor —is struggling to keep her eye on the prize as she fears Matt's heart lies with another contestant. That's why we're low key uncertain she'll make it to the final rose ceremony.
“She’s becoming really insecure as she’s seeing the relationships Matt has with the other women,” a source spilled to New Idea. “She really thought that what they had was special, so seeing him also be intimate with the other women is really hurtful and it’s getting harder and harder for her as the show goes on.”
According to the insider, the blonde beauty— who we can exclusively reveal has made it to the top four— is finding the astrophysicists willingness to kiss the other women "hard to stomach" and, as a result, is starting to question whether his feelings for her are genuine.
It appears as though Chelsie's trust issues stem from being cheated on in a past relationship. And despite bravely opening up to Matt about her previous heartbreak during their second single date, the insider claims the situation is far worse than she's led him to believe.
“She’s actually been cheated on numerous times and she really opened up to Matt on the show and trusted what he was telling her so it would be really bad on his part if he wasn’t being genuine,” the insider dished.
Alright, let's talk about Emma Roche. Honestly, she's in with a very hot chance.
No one's said a bad word about her, Matt seems to really like her, he knows where she stands with wanting to settle down and he even said that she has a knack for being open and honest. And, as a result, Matt says that only makes him like her more.
She's one to watch, people. Trust me.
