Lucy Hale, known for her role in Pretty Little Liars has been getting creative too.
In a recent interview with Refinery29, the actress explains that she’s been using her time in quarantine to sharpen up her eye makeup skills, specifically the cat-eye. “I've been playing around and having fun with makeup. I'm not great with eyeshadow, so I'm always trying to master a smoky eye,” she said, “I also definitely need to master a cat-eye. I'm not good at that at all.”
It makes sense that after a long career in TV, Hale would be pretty used to sitting down in the makeup chair and zoning out. Isolation does seem like the perfect time to experiment with your neglected products–no one will see a wonky eyeliner flick anyway!
If you’ve been going makeup-free and kinda feel like you’re losing your ability to blend your eyeshadows, we’d highly recommended tuning into the Euphoria makeup artists free masterclass. Kristin Coleman, aka the woman behind those incredible Alexa Demie looks, is showing you how to create the perfect eye makeup look.
Like many of us, Hale is also embracing letting her hair have a rest from heat styling and dying. Having had to dye her hair for work constantly, she’s now returning to her natural brunette. “My roots have grown in so much," she says. “I've just embraced that, and I've let my hair air-dry after years of putting heat on it every day.”
Btw, she’s also not shaving her head or giving herself a fringe in quarantine. The actress has had her fair share of DIY hair horror stories already. “When I was maybe 13, I had baby hairs on my forehead, and I shaved them off,” she explains. “For months, I had a tiny section of bangs that was an inch wide, and there was no way to hide it.”
Yeaaaah, avoiding inch-wide micro bangs sounds like a sensible plan to us.
