Case in point: today Lover has gone into voluntary administration.
Ferrier Hodgson partners Morgan Kelly and Ryan Eagle have been appointed voluntary administrators of the beloved local label, Fashion Journal reports, and have called for immediate expressions of interest in the sale.
“Lover is an iconic and well-established fashion brand that represents a unique opportunity for interested parties,” Kelly says in their press release. “We plan to work closely with Lover’s management team to find an acquirer for this popular brand.”
The release outlines that it will be “business as usual” for Lover while they look for a buyer.
Lover is renowned for its whimsical, low-key lace wedding dresses and romantic floral prints. It was founded out of Bondi Markets by designers Susien Chong and Nic Briand in 2001.
