It’s time for celebrities to stop promoting flat tummy teas on Instagram.

It was time a long time ago!

It’s time for girls to start accepting their bodies, and that’s not a new notion at all. It’s something that we’ve been striving toward for a long time… and for the most part, we’ve been doing a good job.

But there is always going to be something making us take ten steps back, and right now, that is the advertising of products such as ‘flat tummy teas’ celebrities are constantly promoting on their Instagram pages.

Kim Kardashian has been one of the biggest advocates of this, which has caused her a lot of backlash.

With 124 million Instagram followers, taking to her Instagram to promote appetite suppressants and flat tummy shakes is VERY dangerous to the young girls trying to follow in her footsteps.

The best part is that we all know Kim and other celebrities don’t use the products and that they’re being paid handsomely for each post.

But her influence is so high that it doesn’t matter.

“You guys all know I looove @flattummyco shakes. I’ve just restarted them (it’s Day 2 today) and I’m already feeling so good,’ she posted. ‘We had a huuuuge Christmas this year and between that, New Years and everything inbetween… I felt like it was impossible to fit in my regular work outs and eat healthy. But this program is giving me a kick in the right direction that I need,” she wrote on her latest post.

She continued: “These meal replacement shakes are so good and they’re helping me get my tummy back to flat. I’m already feeling amazing and I’m so excited for the next few weeks. Because they’re all about getting women back on track… they’ve got a 20% off sale going on right now, so if you want to start 2019 off right… trust me, you’re going to want to check them out. PS. I’m doing the chocolate program.”
Thankfully, there are celebrities like Jameela Jamil who are shedding the light on this epidemic, calling them out for their complete and utter BS.

“If on Boxing Day, you see ANYONE on social media talk about ‘guilty pleasure’ or ‘naughty’ foods, or how the diet needs to start soon, or if they are selling any kind of weight loss product to cash in on the weird, toxic shame we are made to feel about indulging, UNFOLLOW”.

Amen sister.

Let’s not have the wool pulled over our eyes any more girls. We’re smarter than that.
