A study conducted by UK reading program, Quick Reads and the Centre for Research into Reading, Literature and Society at the University of Liverpool found that peeps who read have an enhanced level of happiness over peeps who don’t.

Over 2000 people were asked a series of questions about their habits and a quarter of them confirmed that reading inspired them to make positive life choices and generally made them feel happier.

Another 41% said they find reading to be a better form of relaxation than hanging with mates or having a bubble bath.

Smooth.com.au found that another study conducted by psychologist Raymond Mar revealed that people who read fiction novels are more empathetic than those who never do.

Let’s be real, these findings come as no surprise whatsoever.
