Elsa Hosk’s Complete Diet And Fitness Routine

How she keeps her body Angel-fit.

When you’re due to appear in front of millions of people in nothing but a pair of underwear and a bejewelled bra (forgive us—and some feathered wings), it’s understandable that health and fitness routines get kicked up to the next level.

Elsa Hosk—Victoria’s Secret Angel and the latest Fantasy Bra wearer—proved that point this year, when she appeared on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show runway wearing the $1 million Atelier Swarovski bra, and looking insanely toned.

The 30-year-old revealed pre-show that she had amped up her fitness in the lead up to the event, embracing high-intensity workouts, clean eating and focused toning.

When it comes to fitness, Hosk admits she likes to “mix it up” to keep thing interesting.

“I love boxing, and I try to mix it up as much as I can. Boxing makes you kind of tight, so it’s really good to mix that with barre, pilates, or something that’ll stretch you out and make you longer,” she told Marie Claire.

“I’m not the person that loves to be in the gym so much. I like to mix it up as much as possible, otherwise I’ll get bored.”

Her go-to exercises also include running (she told Coveteur: “I just started running. I don’t time it; I don’t put any pressure on myself, I just go the pace I want. I think that’s a really beautiful way to feel yourself and feel your body and see the city”) and weightlifting (“On the runway you’re wearing really heavy wings and really high heels, so you need really strong legs so you don’t fall”).

Hosk’s love of switching it up means that the likes of pilates, barre and jogging also make it onto her list—anything to keep things interesting.

On the topic of diets, Hosk doesn’t believe in restricting herself.

“I am really bad at being on a diet. As soon as I tell myself, ‘You have to eat this or that,’ I am going to do the exact opposite, so I didn’t tell myself anything. I just tried to say away from processed food. I feel like I have been working out so much I can eat what I want. I like to do it that way,” she told ELLE US.
As for specifics, Hosk opts for vegetables, fruits, eggs and lean proteins.

In an interview with Her, the 30-year-old revealed her day on a plate, which included “eggs and bacon” for breakfast, “a mozzarella and tomato panini with lentil soup” for lunch and a “fried cheese, chicken skewers with rice pilaf, and potato, cucumber, feta salad” for dinner.

On the ‘no’ list is dairy (“I’ve cut that out for the past 5 weeks and I’m seeing a big improvement in my skin and in my belly”), processed meat (“I like food to be as organic and natural as possible”) and juice cleanses (“without solid food!”).
