Bad news for fizzy drink giant Coca-Cola as supermarket chain Woolworths and pizza peeps Domino’s have announced that they won’t be stocking the new Coke No Sugar.
Woolies were first to make the brutal decision as they told news.com.au that “bottled water sales were soaring, while soft drink purchases continued to decline — meaning there just isn’t enough room on the shelves for another similar product”.
Interestingly, coca-cola sales have been on the decline while bottled water sales are rising at a rapid rate as people are preferring the ~healthier~ drink option.
“Our customers looking for a no sugar or low sugar cola option have ample choice already in the category across a range of different pack sizes and formats,” the spokesperson added.

Shortly after, Domino’s revealed that they were following suit.
“The change follows extensive customer testing, which showed customers were eager for a wider range of drinks,” a Domino’s rep revealed in a statement.
Domino’s Chief Executive Australia New Zealand Nick Knight explained that the company have decided to remove Coca-Cola brands in favour of Pepsi and Schweppes.
“From our testing and the feedback we have received so far, we look forward to providing our customers a wider range of drinks to complement their Domino’s meals — and we will continue to offer food and drink meal deals at great prices,” Mr Knight said.
Despite this devo blow to the company, the peeps of Coca-Cola are still hopeful that their new prod will be popular with the public.
A spokesperson claims that the fizzy drink giant is “entirely confident that Coca-Cola No Sugar will be a huge success”.
We shall see…
