It’s time to say goodbye to Apple’s oldest products, the iPod Nano and the iPod Shuffle as the tech giants have stopped producing the old school devices.
The iPod was once everyone’s go-to music players until the iPhone was introduced which included all the functions of the iPod and then some, meaning there became no need for the iPod anymore.
While the iPod Nano and Shuffle are being discontinued, Apple will still manufacture the iPod Touch which looks like a slimmer version of the iPhone.
An Apple spokesperson for the tech company confirmed the news in a statement to Business Insider.
“Today, we are simplifying our iPod lineup with two models of iPod Touch, now with the double capacity starting at just $199, and we are discontinuing the iPod Shuffle and iPod Nano.”
R.I.P. iPod Nano and Shuffle.
Also, how lit were the iPod ads!?
