The Daily Mail released footage of contestant Connie Crayden leaving the experiment, with a producer feeding her lines as she's filmed on the street with all her bags around her.
There is never a moment where the cast isn't around a producer, looming near them to ensure it is going in the direction they planned it go.
The publication has reported that there is also a team enlisted to make sure the cast is where they are supposed to be at all times, including escorting them to their rooms in chauffer-driven cars.
Not too long ago, MAFS bride Poppy Jennings admitted on her social media that she was "dragged" out of the girls' night reunion when she tried to tell the other brides what actually happened between her and Luke Eglin.
"The times I had said what he did on camera was never going to be shown," she began. "The girls started asking me questions about why I left and I started to get upset on camera. Then I got dragged out, told off, and wasn't allowed to talk about what happened with Luke because it was too controversial. I could never say my truth."
Similarly, former bride Jessika Power from 2019 has admitted that the entire show is scripted.
"What I am starting to see here is a pattern. All of these 'bombshells' that we are all waiting on the edge of our couch to watch haven't even been caught by the producers or by cameramen," Jess told New Idea.
"I know that there was a two-week filming break and everybody had to go home because it was basically turning into a big sh*t show. And when the crew came back, they were handed lines by EP Tara who said, 'this is your storyline'. It has been made up by Tara and the guys at Married At First Sight to put a little bit of spice in there. She handed everybody a script and asked them to go with their storyline."
MAFS intruder groom Drew Brauer even admitted that he was pressured by Nine producers into wife-swapping. He allegedly told Jessika Power this, who then revealed it on the radio.
"So the new intruder, Drew, he's spoken to me a few times and he mentioned that there were situations that he was put in by producers that he didn't want to be put in," Jess told Get Up With Krysti and Bodge. "They were trying to make him the new Dan. And everyone knows Dan and I swapped partners on the show. They basically wanted a swap out of Drew and he said no."
When Drew was asked about the incident, he said, "I've literally got a gun to my head from Channel Nine right at this minute, I can't give away any spoilers."
