Like many conspiracy theories of this kind, there was a lot of evidence to support his, but of course, zero confirmation.
However it didn't stop #Camren being born, and to this day, many people still believe it.
ESPECIALLY when Lauren makes cryptic comments on social media that totally hints that it has been real all along.
Last night, she tweeted the following:
"Pay attention to the synchronicity. Pay attention to the signs."
That was when a fan posted a well known #Camren video that displays how in sync Camila and Lauren were when they were bandmates.
Another fan then replied to the video, writing, "This is some Illuminati shit 
," AND LAUREN REPLIED TO HER, saying, "Nah it's some real shit, pay attention."
#Whoa.
Could it be real? We wouldn't have suspected so, but after Lauren made that response, we can't help but wonder.
In November 2016, Lauren came out to her fans as bisexual in an open letter. "I am a bisexual Cuban-American woman and I am so proud of it," she wrote.
A few months later, Reddit users seemed to think this anonymous post about being a gay artist, was from Lauren. In it, they explain how they were not allowed to come out as "gay", instead, having to be "bisexual" so they aren't pigeonholed, and lose their following.
"I told my manager and producers, who I'm really close to. First words out of his mouth were, 'Don't tell anyone.' Said I'd lose tons of male fans and become a niche gay artist. And that I better not 'shave my head and go all dykey'. They said I don't have to actively lie that I'm bisexual, but if any questions come up I should just avoid it by saying something about fluidity and not everyone needs a label."
OF COURSE, this post could be written by anyone, or it could possibly be fake, so it's important to take it with a grain of salt. But, it is an interesting reveal nonetheless.
Both Camila and Lauren have in the past debunked #Camren rumours, however, things can totally change?
