Police received a “tip [it] deemed a credible threat” against the "Love" singer prior to her show.
The 43-year-old Florida man was detained near the venue and police found a knife and a concert ticket on his person.
“At no time was he able to make contact with Ms. Grant,” the police confirmed.
The assailant made the “cryptic and threatening” posts against Lana between January 29 and February 2, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
“I want to see my queen on Friday and from that day forward our decisions will be as one,” he allegedly wrote in a Facebook post.
In another post, he talks about getting “together” with Del Rey, calling her a "queen".
“I’m going to probably finish out her tour with her, obviously, and dance and talk and figure out what we’re going to do,” he added.
“Everyone knows that I’m here,” he said. “Lana knows I’m here. The queen of England knows I’m here. Vladimir knows I’m here. They all know I’m here.”
The man, Michael Hunt, has 61 felony convictions including drug possession and violent crimes. He's also served five prison sentences.
He has been charged with aggravated stalking with a credible threat and attempted kidnapping with a weapon. He is being held in Orange County Jail with no bond.
