The collaboration with Grande is titled ‘Rain On Me,’ and today Gaga has announced we can expect this Chromatica treat early. ‘Rain On Me’ is being released this Friday, making it the second single after 'Stupid Love,' which also now has it’s very own eyeshadow palette.
On both artist’s social media pages, we’ve been treated to a look at some impressively spikey visuals, perhaps signalling that a ‘Rain On Me’ music video might also be incoming?
Gaga’s no stranger to adopting elements of fetish wear in her impressive ensembles, the singer is wearing what looks to be a leather gauntlet and shoulder armour. She completed the look with some spikes and a dagger casually sticking out of her thigh, as you do.
Grande has kept her signature ponytail hairstyle but is decked out in a latex miniskirt. It’s not the first time that she’s channelled American Horror Story rubber vibes, having also popped on a latex bunny mask and ears for the cover of her album Dangerous Woman. In true Ari IG style, she also posted the pic, just in black and white and rotated. Never change, you black and white, artsy grain filter lovin’ gal.
It’s not the only Ariana collaboration that we can expect on the horizon either. Since her last official music release with Justin Bieber for the very adorable ‘Stuck With U,’ the singer has confirmed the rumours that have also been swirling about a Doja Cat and Ariana Grande collaboration.
In an interview with Zane Lowe of Apple music, Grande explained her adoration for Doja Cat. “I love her,” Grande said. “I was able to work with her earlier this year for this song that I want to wait for whenever it’s time again to drop.”
Petition for them to drop it soon because the drip-feeding of new music is pretty much all we got keeping us going right now. Harry Styles ‘Watermelon’ video is gonna sustain us for a month, at least. As another 'Rain On Me' promotional poster says, "at least I'm alive," indeed.
