In comments to the New York Times, Kylie said that she wasn't aware of the discount, quickly calling a staff member of her company when she found out.
Supposedly, the reason the price was cut was that the packaging colour changed from white to black. The remaining stock had been put on sale several weeks prior... so Kylie says.
“That is just not my character. I would never do something like that and when I saw it, I was like, thrown back,” Kylie said.
