Kim Kardashian has angered fans after the star shared a series of images showing off her new braided 'do.
The 37-year-old reality star shared a gallery of images of herself in skimpy outfits, with a new hair do consisting of blonde corn rows.
Labelling the new hairstyle 'Bo Derek braids' in reference to the actresses hairstyle in her 1979 film, 10, social media was flooded with unhappy comments, marking Kim's reference and new hair as 'disrespectful.'
'Kim Kardashian should have learned by now how to properly deal with black culture and considering she has three black kids this behaviour is disturbing,’ one person wrote.
Another added, 'Kim Kardashian on snap talking about some Bo Derek braids. Kim they are called CORN ROWS.'
Even more fans flooded social media to discuss their outrage.
Despite unhappy followers, many were quick to jump to Kim's defense, claiming she was taking inspiration from the film and wasn't intentionally disrespectful.
One fan wrote, 'Wearing weaves and wigs is not part of a culture,' with another responding, 'I think everyone can where this hairstyle, However we should and teach the actual origin!'
