Now, according to Us Weekly, the girls weren't briefed about the awkward line, as it was meant to be delivered as a joke.
But they've taken it well, with the publication admitting that yes, "it was definitely a bit awkward," but "Kim and Kendall were really good sports about it."
For Kendall, we're wondering when she's going to stop agreeing to present awards.

Twitter, of course, had a field day with the gaffe.
The social media platform was filled with hilarious jokes and memes about the awkward encounter.
Kim and Kendall presenting the award came only a few short days after they were feuding over Kim's son's name, Psalm.
Last week, Kendall appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon where she revealed she wasn't a huge fan of the name her half-sister had picked out for their newborn baby boy, Psalm.
Naturally, the interview struck a nerve with the mum-of-four, later revealing what she really thought of her sister's subtle diss.
"So I saw this interview that Kendall did on Fallon, and I was like, 'Excuse me! First of all, say it to me first; don’t say it on TV," the mum-of-four began. "No, but I, there’s like a grace period of when you have to name your child before you have to go into the government offices and do the paperwork. Ten days, you got 10 days before you have to name your child or they are named John Doe.
The makeup mogul continued: "We had like an hour. I woke up in the morning and Kanye was really busy working, but I knew our list. So I called my sisters and Kendall was available, so I said 'Come over now, you're not leaving the house until we've got the name.'"
Her theory is not that Kendall didn't like the name but that she's salty Kim didn't go with her suggestion.
