The company's managing director Nikki Lawson confirmed that the exciting extension will kick off in the next three weeks, starting in the Sydney beachside suburb of Manly with up to 12 stories involved via food delivery service, Foodora.
"We'll be going fairly carefully," Mrs Lawson said.
"What you don't want to do is have a fabulous delivery experience and end up with a really awful consumer experience for everyone else."
The success of the trial will determine whether or not the company will expand their delivery service across Australia.
KFC's competitor Red Rooster has been offering a home delivery for two and a half years and have seen a growth in $250 million stock market float as a result of the convenient service.
They also currently have an app, much like Domino's order app, that allows you to "click & collect" your meals.
“The KFC Express app is a big one for us,” Lawson added.
“The balance is there’s a certain cost involved and whether the Australian consumer has the appetite for that, because you’ve got to have a have a healthy financial model,” she said.
