Katy Perry's shoe line has been pulled from stores like Dillard’s and Walmart, after it faces racist backlash.
Her “Katy Perry Collections” shoe line was unveiled in 2017, but now, the Ora Face Block Heel and Rue Face Slip-On Loafers (that come in beige and black) have people on social media calling it blackface.
Others have jumped to defend to Katy, saying that her shoes shouldn't be seen as racially insensitive at all.
Regardless, they've been taken off shelves. Sources told TMZ that the range was “never intended to be offensive.”
However, the site reports, “In order to be respectful and sensitive the team is in the process of pulling the shoes.”
