Every year, our queen J.K. Rowling issues an apology on the date of the Battle of Hogwarts.
Each time, the apology is directed at a different death that RUINED US. 2015 was dedicated to Fred Weasley (still not over it) and last year was for your friendly neighbourhood werewolf, Remus Lupin.
THIS YEAR, however, is dedicated to someone whose death changed lives.
UGH, the tears are real RN.
"OK, here it is." She began. "Please don't start flame wars over it, but this year I'd like to apologise for killing (whispers)... Snape. *runs for cover*."
Even her tweets tell a story, God bless her.
Snape has always been a controversial topic among Potterheads. The majority, ourselves included, ADORE him. He really was so brave. Others call him out for being bitter and bullying Harry over his own misgivings.
Each to their ownnnn!
The best part of J.K.'s apology was her follow up tweet, where she had to clear things up in case authorities actually believe she had murdered someone... IRL.
"In case the police are reading my notifications, there's a Battle of Hogwarts anniversary tradition going on. I am not on a murder spree."
Who will be next year? Tonks?? We shall see.
