Speaking at the DC Con on Sunday, Jensen joked with his fans about his "big, dumb friend".
"There’s a lot of love. I’m going to tell Jared to stay home more often," Ackles - who plays Dean Winchester - said to the crowd.
"I’m kidding, we all miss my big, dumb friend. And I’ll just say it now, he had a bad weekend last weekend. He’s dealing with what he’s gotta deal with so just send him support and some love and have a good weekend this weekend."
"He had a couple of days off last week, which was … turned out to be a good thing," Ackles told fans on Sunday, before launching the practical joke he pulled on his mate.
"But when he showed up on set on Wednesday, I brought him in in handcuffs, so we were having fun with it."
In case you thought handcuffs wasn't quite rubbing salt in the wound, Jensen revealed that the crew also wanted to wear orange jumpsuits.
"The crew really wanted to wear orange jumpsuits, but we couldn’t get ‘em in time.
"It wasn’t like we thought it was a bad idea — we were certainly going to roll with it. Anyway, he’s doing fine. He sends his love, and you’re stuck with me today."
Jared sent out a Tweet on Sunday to thank his Supernatural fans for their love and support following his arrest.
On October 27, our OG teen crush was arrested by police outside of a lounge/club called Stereotype following the former Gilmore Girls star punching a bartender.
According to TMZ, who spoke to some eyewitnesses, Jared "got into it with the general manager of the place and allegedly struck him in the face as well."
TMZ even has footage of the bust-up (which you can check out HERE) where you can see someone trying desperately to calm Jared down.
The actor is facing two counts of assault and one count of public intoxication.
