After news broke of Channing's new relationship, those close to Jenna said it "wasn't a surprise."
"Jenna knew that Channing was dating," a source told E! News. "A friend had told her what was going on."
"She doesn't really care what Channing does as long as he's being there for [their daughter] Everly. Jenna's dating too and they are both moving on with their lives," they added.
Now, Us Weekly reports that Dewan is fine because she's moving on too. Dewan is "seeing someone new," a source told Us, and he's not “well known.”
People backed up the reports by noting that Jenna "has been on a few dates but doesn’t talk about a boyfriend.”
Despite Tatum staying quiet about his split with Dewan since his statement in April, Dewan told Women's Health in July that she thinks the relationship ending was the best thing.
“It’s been a journey, and it’s been a transformation of myself — my needs and wants as a woman,” she said at the time. “I think everyone wants to hold on to what’s in front of them, but when you open your mind, saying, ‘I want what’s best for myself and my daughter,’ you have to be OK with however that looks.”
She added: “It’s OK for a relationship to change into a new form that is actually better for both people involved, and I think that’s maybe what shocked everyone so much — that it can be a positive thing. That was ultimately what happened with us.”
