Jaclyn Hill is setting the record straight on the problem regarding her new lipsticks, with a video titled "My Lipsticks."
She begins by saying that her lipsticks aren't expired or unsafe.
"My lipsticks are not moldy. They are not hazardous, they are not contaminated, they are not unsafe for you in any way shape or form. Every single ingredient in my lipstick is new and it is FDA-approved," she said.
"What these black dots are is actually oxygen bubbles and they are being lifted to the surface when my lipstick bullet is being cooled off, when it’s going from a hot temperature fresh out of the vat and it’s going to go into my actual component."
So what about those bumps? (See below) According to Jaclyn, they're just lipstick ingredients that haven't been properly blended.
"This vat is not breaking down all of my raw materials because we produced so many lipsticks so quickly," she explained.
"When I first heard the definition and the reason behind these white fuzzies on some of these lipsticks, I one hundred percent did not believe it," she said. "I got very upset and I was like why are you lying to me, why are trying to treat me like I’m an idiot, this is ridiculous – like I need a better explanation."
"Because my lipstick component is a shiny silver almost metal-like material, my lab – instead of using a standard glove that they would use in the lab – they decided to use white cotton gloves," she continued. "They’re fluffy white gloves because they didn’t want the standard gloves to put any smears on the component."
Nope, nope, NOPE!!! In news that no beauty lover wants to hear, people are finding HAIR, grit and other 'substances' in their Jaclyn Hill lipsticks.
On May 30, the famous beauty YouTuber launched her new line of cosmetics, Jaclyn Cosmetics. Part of the line included a range of nude lipsticks.
Unfortunately, weeks after the release people are disgusted.
People claim to have found what hairs embedded in their lipsticks (that are fresh from the box).
YouTuber RawBeautyKristi put her lipstick under a microscope to show the strange substances up close...
Many shared photos on Twitter.
Other customers claim to have found a 'gritty' substance in their lipsticks, and they have photo proof.
Basically, they're a hot mess.
Some customers want to report Jaclyn Cosmetics to the FDA for contamination.
Since the backlash, Jacyn has responded.
