Have you ever sat in a park to eat your lunch in peace and been VERY personally attacked by one of these damn birds:
The Ibis, also known as a "bin chicken" is an important part of Aussie culture, and the kids on Schoolies right now know that.
“We’ve done about 10 [ibises] during schoolies I reckon, ” tattooist Luke Braniff from Surfers Paradise’s Crossfire Tattoos told Yahoo7.
Yep, it's become a trend on Schoolies to get them permanantly tattooed on your body.
“They love it, they think its great."
“The schoolies have some fun before they become serious adults and the tattoos are normally something funny they’ll remember the week by.”
One schoolie attendee Jarod Christie took it to the next level by getting two Ibis tattoos, telling Yahoo7 that he loves the tatts.
“I am really satisfied with the ibis tattoos, there are much worse things I could have gotten and now they are always a conversation starter,” he said.
“But you know these are tattoos that adults get too, they’re not just specific to Schoolies.”
The more you know.
