"I was in high school when YouTube came out and I was like 'this is cool," Brittney told the BB hosts. "So I just started making little videos with my friends on my laptop webcam."
Brittney explains that things slowly escalated from there.
"Towards the end of high school people actually started tuning into my channel and I was like, Oh, this is something," she says.
"And then I left school, went to the workforce and it kind of was just a very gradual climb from school to a few years ago... when it got to a point where I thought 'I can actually do this as a job.'"
Brittney reveals that she's glad her following has grown gradually over the years.
"It was a very slow journey," she says. "I feel like if you're an overnight success and suddenly had all these followers, it would be pretty overwhelming."
Now that she's there, she's not content with just resting on her Insta-fame.
Brittney has released branched out from YouTube to create two fashion brands — Fayt The Label and Staple Swim.
"It's crazy, I've just basically taught myself everything," Brittney says. "But once again, I feel like that was the same as my YouTube career. I had no idea what I was doing. You just kind of go in and wing it."
