This whole thing kicked off last month when an anonymously run account called @terrytome posted a cover of Style's song 'Falling.' The cover is an instrumental version, played on an electronic musical synthesizer called an Otamatone, which was cutely decorated to look like a face. Because this is TikTok, remember?
Despite posting a behind the scenes video captioned "In the making of my cover of Falling by Harry Styles," and using a bunch of Harry Styles tags—not very incognito, surely the real Harry wouldn't?—fans reckon that there is a good chance it's him. The account's owner playing the little instrument with gloved hands and the fact "Terry" covers rarer Styles songs that haven't been recorded is also fuelling the speculation. Fans also think that the account's owner got their hands on an unreleased instrumental studio recording, but they responded saying they hadn't. 🤔
"Me tryna look in the screen to see if it's secretly Harry: 👁️👄👁️," wrote one TikTok user, presumably checking for Styles's new Mario mustache.
Harry... is that you?
