Halsey had the pleasure of performing on the season finale of The Voice, in US, singing her hit song "Without Me" alongside dancer Jade Chynoweth.
The pair performed in coordinating white crop tops and shorts, covered in paint, and they had a GREAT connection throughout the entire thing, which the audience seemed to love.
However, after her performance some people took to Twitter to express their distaste with it, calling it "inappropriate" for live television because the dance was intimate and between two women.
Halsey has since responded to the backlash, calling out the commenters for being homophobic.
"Very proud of the emotional performance i did with @JadeChynoweth on @NBCTheVoice tonight. And also very proud to have pissed off thw homophobic viewers at home who missed the message. Thanks for watching.
"Represention matters. Thanks @NBCTheVoice for giving a space for this vision to come to life. and thank you @JadeChynoweth for being an incredible human who used her body like the ultimate instrument for this collaboration.
"I too find hugs DISGUSTING !!!"
