Averaging what seems like about ten Instagram lives a week, the couple has shared everything from hockey practice to acne-fighting skincare routines to virtual love letters posted while the other was sleeping. Srsly, one of Justin’s IG captions is sweet enough to give us a cavity:
“Dear Hailey, as I lay here, you asleep next to me, I think to myself how did I get so blessed. You’re humility, joy and desire to grow blows me away! I am honored to be your husband. I promise to love you all the days of our lives. Good night Hailey I hope you read this in the morning and smile! You are my FOREVER.”
Despite the loved up pics and united front against annoying skin conditions, the pair haven’t always had the smoothest run. Since getting married in 2018, the model and singer have faced their fair share of rocky patches.
In a new interview, Hailey Bieber revealed that a lot of the stress and guilt she felt came from her own personal expectations of herself. Like her husband, Hailey is a practising Christian and felt a lot of pressure to be the “good girl.”
"We all wish there were things we had never done and we all wish that there were decisions we didn't make and mistakes we didn't make but what I learned being married is that every mistake that I made and every bad decision I made—everything I was making myself feel guilty for—actually led to me getting married and it led to me being a wife," Hailey explained.
"Probably for the first six or seven months of being married, I was just ridden with guilt. I wish I hadn't done this. I wish I had just walked into this clean and free and clean slate but what it taught me is that it's A, not realistic, and B, we all have guilt and we all shame for things we've done but it doesn't have to define who we are and it didn't have to define me in my relationship."
While not explicit, her comments definitely seem to echo her husband Justin’s recent ones about their pre-marriage lifestyle. Justin recently opened up about how he if he had his time again that he’d have waited until marriage to have sex.
In the couples’ Facebook Watch series, The Biebers on Watch, he explained, "If I could go back and not have to face some of the bad hurt that I went through, I probably would've saved myself for marriage."
"Sex can be kind of confusing when you're just being sexually active with anybody. We went there. It's just true," he said.
"I probably would have saved myself for marriage," Bieber added. Each to their own, we guess! No word on how his famous ex, Selena Gomez, feels about that lil confession though.
