And now we know why - it's highly addictive.
A new report has come out thanks to ABC 8 News, where they spoke to health experts, claiming that the came have players addicted just as badly as HEROIN!

They also note that “it literally causes cravings that they can’t live without, and they just get obsessed with it.”
They also claimed that they performed tests with a bunch of teenage boys, which showed them continue to play the game DESPITE a tornado coming to them, and it was only after the power lines were cut that they managed to break away and find safety, Comicbook reports.

Video game addiction is also now recognised by the World Health Organisation, and kids have been so addicted to the game that they've even been sent to rehab.
According to Bloomberg, parents are turning to rehab when their childrens gaming addiction gets out of hand.
A mother of a 17-year-old Fortnite addict Debbie Vitany spoke to Bloomberg, “We’d made some progress in getting him to cut down his Fortnite hours and get better sleep, but he’s slipped back into his old habits.
“I’ve never seen a game that has such control over kids’ minds.”
