Kicking off in their home country, the boys Luke, Calum, Ashton and Michael could not be in better spirits as they took to the stage at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.
The boys kicked things off with the grungy “Babylon” to a crowd of 6,000 screaming fans.
From the get-go fans are then treated to an extensive set list, playing hits from their past such as the sombre “Amnesia”, the flirty “She’s Kinda Hot” along with Ghostbusters anthem “Girls Talk Boys” to pretty much the ENTIRE track-list off their new album. Even if you aren’t exactly familiar with all the words from the new LP, the entire adrenaline-filled show is just bucket loads of fun.
There is even a sweet little moment where Luke strips it all back and takes to the piano to perform catchy track “Lie to Me” and you can literally hear every single heart in the stadium skip a beat.
What’s so great about 5SOS is that they know how to get a crowd going. Taking breaks between their hits to chat with the crowd and amp up the energy where needed. They even take a moment to thank fans for their continued support and credit their humble beginnings in Australia.
Before exiting the stage, the pop-rockers close out with chart-toppers “She Looks So Perfect” and “Youngblood”, leaving everyone on a major high and a rather severe case of post-concert depression.
VERDICT: An energetic, flashy and fun show that will no doubt satisfy any diehard 5SOS fan.
