It comes after Interview magazine uploaded images of Selena with darkened skin, braided hair, and conventionally black style.
"Why is Selena Gomez trying to be black?" wrote another fan.
"I thought this was a black woman until I realised it was Selena Gomez."
However, a lot of her fans defended the star.
"Selena Gomez is a LATINA WOMAN. Latina's can get tanned and by no means that means they are blackfishing," wrote another fan.
