A MAJOR CHARACTER MAY DIE!
Showrunner Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa posted a photo this week teasing the upcoming season, and it's not looking good for the Sabrina (Keirnan Shipka) and the Spellman's!
What is a dread banshee you ask? we have no idea, but all we can assume is that it is some sort of Greendale universe Grim Reaper. Yikes.
One thing we may be able to rely on is the fact that they are witches and there have been many brought back from the "dead" previously on the show. Besides, Roberto once said himself that nobody really ever dies in Greendale.
ARE THEY GOING TO HELL?
Apparently so! The end of season 2 had fans wondering whether or not Sabrina was serious about going to Hell to retrieve Nicholas Scratch (Gavin Leatherwood) back from the Dark Lord.
Aguirre-Sacasa has since confirmed that they will be going to Hell as part of the new season.
"I think it’s safe to say that we are going to Hell, yes," he told TheWrap at the Television Critics Association press tour. "We’re going to Hell. It’s very fun. It’s very fun. It’s dangerous, but it’s really fun."
Sounds like a party.
SABRINA AND NICK vs SABRINA AND HARVEY
Does this new development mean that Sabrina will end up with Nick, or get back together with Harvey Kinkle (Ross Lynch)?
"It’s funny, I love both those guys," Roberto said. "I love Gavin and I love Ross. I think probably, I ship both couples. I have a soft spot for Harvey because he’s Sabrina’s longtime boyfriend in the comic books, but I cannot deny that Sabrina and Nick are a great, potent match. So yes, there is reason to hope for Harvey and Sabrina shippers. But Sabrina and Nick are pretty undeniable."
We can get around that.
ARE ALL CHARACTERS RETURNING TO THE SHOW?
Nobody knows! Luke Cook, our hot Aussie Satan from season 2 told Entertainment Tonight that he hasn't heard anything about season 3, so that's not a good sign.
"It's all a mystery," he said. "I haven't heard anything, but fingers crossed. Hail, Satan!"
While his story seemed to be over, we feel like we will be seeing more of him.
Kiernan Shipka will be back as Sabrina, along with Miranda Otto, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Gavin Leatherwood, Michelle Gomez, Ross Lynch and the rest of the OG CAOS cast.
We can expect a few newcomers will be thrown into the mix as well.
WHEN THE HELL CAN WE WATCH IT?
Not October, according to Roberto, as production for season three is still happening.
"I don’t actually know. I don’t think we’d be ready for Halloween. I have no idea, not a clue," he said to the publication. "We are writing episode 8, we are starting to shoot episode 6, so we’re nearing the halfway mark. And that’s been going great, I’m really proud of those episodes, they’re really, really fun."
