Zac Efron has been cast in the Scooby Doo reboot titled Scoot, as Fred, Deadline reports.
Zac has been cast alongside Amanda Seyfried (Daphne), Gina Rodriguez (Velma), Will Forte (Shaggy) and Tracy Morgan (Captain Caveman).
Scooby himself will be played by Frank Welker, who has played the canine for over a decade.
Scoob is set for a May 2020 release, and it will be the first Scooby-Doo film to hit cinemas since 2004’s Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed, which starred Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred and Sarah Michelle Gellar as Daphne.
