But, like many TV shows and movies, actors try out for roles and are then sorted around by producers. In this case, Sasha Pieterse who plays Alison, originally went for Ashley Benson’s role as Hanna. Woah.
When the cast reunited on stage at PaleyFest, Sasha revealed the scene she auditioned for was between her and Janel Parrish who plays Mona.

She definitely nailed it.
But, we definitely love it the way it is. To be fair, we think any of these girls could play each other/anyone and we’d instantly love them.
