WATCH: ‘YOU’ without Joe Goldberg’s narration is creepy

Well, the show creator Sera Gamble has promised to up the crazy. In fact, she has revealed that the show is “already BONKERS.”

Sara sat down with LADbible for a very exclusive Ask Me Anything on their Netflix Bangers Facebook group, where she answered fan questions.

One fan asked when we can expect season 3.

She replied: “We just opened the writers’ room for season 3 of You.”

“We’re aiming for early 2021 but these things are always a little hard to pin down til we’re close to ready. I will say: the new season is already BONKERS.”

Later, Sera was asked how dark Joe Goldberg’s character (Penn Badgley) will go in season 3, after his wild antics in the past 2.

She answered very simply: “DARK.

How… just HOW dark can his character go?! At the end of season 2, we discover that Joe has impregnated Love… however, we also find out that Love is just as murderous as Joe, which basically means that they are creating the spawn of satan.

We just hope Ellie is okay.

You season 2 is available to watch on Netflix now. But what concrete details do we know about season three?

You season three release date: when is it coming back to Netflix?

An official date is yet to be set for the You season three premiere. We know that the series was set to begin filming in February 2021, but uh… it kinda remains to be seen if that’ll actually pan out. (Unprecedented times after all.)

Some are predicting the third season won’t arrive until the end of the year, possibly later.

That said, the third book in the series which the show is based on is set to hit stores in April 2021. The novel is called You Love Me and will hopefully tide over any fans who are desperate for their creepy-but-can’t-look-away fix.

What happens in You season three?

Okay, so we know nothing is certain, but the book series’ author, Caroline Kepnes gave away a few clues as to what was coming. We can imagine the show would be at least a *little* influenced by it.

“Joe is really proud of himself because a lot of people in his position descend into darkness after having been through what he’s gone through in book two and then in the beginning of book three,” she said, speaking with Entertainment Weekly. “And he decides that he’s going to be a better person and he’s very proud of himself for that.”

“Having dealt with Love’s family and dating someone with this close relationship with their twin brother, he’s very focused on the idea that he should be the one with the family. But yeah, the main thrust of it is that he’s very proud of his strength.”

Hmmm. Looks like it’s time to settle in for the long wait until that You season three trailer drops.
